Extension Folder Instructions

October 13, 2013

The Marking Period for these Assignments will be 5 class periods

This folder is for your use in this engineering class. When you have finished your class work and have a “pocket of time” in your lab activities, you are to get this folder out and work toward completion of the extensions outlined below. (You can also work on these extensions at home.)

For each marking period, you MUST complete at least ONE extension project and at least ONE extension assignment. Each will become part of your overall marking period average by becoming part of your project grade  which will add points to your overall project grade

Assignments will be self-assessed and teacher-assessed using the following system:

o If the assignment shows outstanding effort & overall mastery of  skill and objectives, it will receive  points  ranging from 90 to 100 points

o If the assignment shows average effort and partial mastery of objectives, it will receive  points ranging from 80 to 89 points

o If the assignment shows minimal efforts and little mastery of objectives, it will receive  points  ranging  from 70 to 79  points

o If you fail to complete either of the assignments, your Extension Folder grade for the Marking Period will be 50%, indicating an incomplete.
